This tough, tense and very exciting revenge thriller reworks the theme of Death Wish with considerable success and, said Hollywood Reporter, it 'should have little trouble in scoring a bulls-eye'. Zoe Tamerlis gives a remarkably fine and convincing performance as Thana, a beautiful and mute young girl who works in the garment district of New York. One evening as she is walking home, she is attacked and brutally raped by a masked man (played by the film's director Abel Ferrara under the pseudonym of Jimmy Laine). And, terrifyingly, when she finally gets back to her apartment she disturbs a burglar who rapes her a second time. She manages to kill him by smashing him in the skull. Thana then takes the burglars .45 automatic and sets out on a reign of vengeance, killing any man who propositions her. Finally when she can wait no longer for men to make the first move, Thana dresses up as a prostitute and sets out to continue her series of 'excecutions'...This film is directed at a non-stop pace by Abel Ferrara and was rightly described as Variety as 'An exciting urban thriller' and one which 'manages to leave an indelible impression'
