Synopsis

Mel Brooks in top comedy form as a doctor (with a fear of heights) who arrives to take up a post as head of an institute for the very, very, nervous and finds himself involved in murder, sadism and a conspiracy among the clinic`s treacherous and double-crossing staff. This has got to be one of Brooks' funniest satires. Dedicated to the master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock and contains references to many of the masters most famous films including The Birds, Vertigo, Spellbound and Psycho.
Along for the zany ride are Madeline Kahn, Harvey Korman and Cloris Leachman as the 'ever lovable' sadistic militaristic head nurse Diesel.
