Pharaoh Nemorat has married Shila, of the Syrian royal family which he has exterminated, but the girl loves Resi, a young court physician, and despises her husband. Kefren, Nemorat's uncle, poisons his nephew, but Shila is accused of the crime. She is to be buried alive with her husband. However Resi gives her a drug which gives apparent death.She is buried with the Pharaoh but Resi must discover the secret of the new tomb to free his beloved one. The architect who has planned the building leads him through all the snares he himself has arranged. The two youths escape but the architect remains imprisoned when he tests a safety mechanism which makes huge blocks of marble crumble on top of him.
