Herschell Gordon Lewis will forever be remembered as the pioneer of the gore film for this 1963 entry made on an incredibly low budget in an incredibly short time... The acting is appalling, the dialogue is hilarious, the story is unbelievable - and the gore is about as convincing as a 40 stone transvestite. But it was the first, and its a legend. Incredibly, this became a video nasty, due to its ability to deprave and corrupt. I'm not sure who, but thats what the DPP thought it could do!
