Synopsis

In the year 2000 hit and run driving is no longer a crime. It's the NATIONAL SPORT!
The ruthless survive - but the killers win! In a brutalised America, only the race matters - the annual death-delivering coast-to-coast charge as purpose-built racers hurtle down highways and carve through pedestrians. In this no-holds-barred contest it's strictly safety last. The winner achieves the fastest crossing - and the highest 'body count'. David Carradine is 'Frankenstein', anti-hero driver of 'The Monster'. His body re-built by plastic surgery, he's the survivor of three grisly crashes. This year he has more to worry about than the deadly tricks of the other contestants. A plot is afoot to assassinate the President of the United Provinces of America. And to obliterate Frankenstein into the bargain. Unknowingly, his very own navigator is involved right up to the hilt. The climax to this gladiatorial film, is decisive, explosive and completely unexpected.
