Synopsis

Elvis Presley's movie debut, a western adventure about three brothers serving in the Confederate army at the end of the Civil war who rob a Union payroll then find that the war is over and they have to pay for their crime. They hide out at the family ranch where they find their younger brother (Elvis) has married a former sweetheart. The stage is set for a fierce drama of family conflict... This movie ranked as one of the top ten moneymakers in its year of release. Its famous title song was a million seller back in 1956 when it reached the number one spot and remained in the American charts for 23 weeks. The film also starred Richard Egan and Debra Paget and was directed by Robert D. Webb.
