TWICE THE ACTION!
Thugs claiming to be students of the Shaolin temple attack a party of monks en route to Canton with precious Buddhist scripts. One Of the monks escapes the slaughter and manages to reach a ferryman, Wong, who aids him and promises to recover the scripts. He makes his way to the Shaolin temple where he is spotted by a monk who calls out the guard, Wong explains his reason for being there but the head monk denies that they were responsible for stealing the Book of Changes and that it sounded like the work of Chiang, who had broken away from the temple and formed a marauding band of villains. Wong sets off in search of Chiang knowing the possible dangers. Along the route he teams up with a girl named Chin, who; he discovers, is also after Chiang to revenge the death of her family. After a ferocious battle with some men from Chiang's outpost Wong finds a beautiful girl lying injured by a river, he helps her but whilst he is away seeking medical assistance she vanishes. Chin and Wong set off again but during the night Chin slips away. Chiang's daughter Chung now aware that the battling duo are getting nearer decides to eliminate them and sets-a trap into which only Wong falls and he is Imprisoned. It is here that he discovers that the injured girl he aided is Dan Dan, another of Chiang's daughters, who had run away from her arranged marriage to the aged Noodles. Dan Dan effects Wong's escape during which Chung is killed. The grieving Chiang sends out two of his lieutenants after the fleeing Wong and Dan Dan. Wong defeats them both but during the fight Dan Dan is stabbed to death Chiang is now waiting for Wong. Chin professes her love for Wong and suggests that they forget their quest and leave to live out their lives in peace. However Wong stands by his promise to recover the scripts for the temple and goes off alone to face Chiang. The final battle rages and just as Chiang begins to dominate, Chin appears and the lovers overcome the evil master and slay him.
