It's a race against time when a couple of kids discover Santa's in peril.
It's the week before Christmas and all is not well 200 miles from the North Pole. A large oil company is about to start drilling without realising that below them is North Pole City - Santa's home. Ed, Santa's head elf, rushes off to visit Claudia, wife of one of the oil men, with a special plea - stop the drilling work at once! An exciting rollercoaster ride in Ed's snowmobile takes Claudia and the children to Santa who repeats Ed's warning. Claudia and the children return home to tell their story - but it's too late! Dynamiting is already planned for December 24th.With no time to lose, the children set off to warn Santa and so begins a race against time to save Santa and North Pole City. The Night They Saved Christmas stars Jaclyn Smith, Paul Williams and Art Carney as Santa Claus.
