The best of the cannibal movies and one of the most notorious of the video nasties, principally for its iconic cover art used many times in the 80s crusade against video nasties. This was a pre-cut version of the film. Even so, it packed quite a punch with scenes of real animal cruelty, horrendous violence against women, and the obligatory cannibalism too. Cannibal Holocaust is a very clever film, well crafted and regarded as a horror masterpeice these days, but if you can - see it in its uncut form to appreciate its full nihilistic power.
