Synopsis

Shot in sub zero temperatures Jack London's famous classic tale of the Yukon Gold Rush in the 1890's. John Thornton (CHARLTON HESTON) and his companion Pete (RAIMUND HARMSTORF) breaks a trail from Skagway to Dawson City - 200 miles of hell in the frozen north. All the drama of a dog team and the emergence of a new leader "Buck" an incredible German Shepherd dog who steals the picture. MICHELE MERCIER the beautiful star of "Angelique" a gold digger, shrewd but vulnerable to Thornton and the dog Buck. An exciting film and a legend of the Famous Goldrush which claimed the lives of so many gold hungry prospectors. Buck will bring the CALL OF THE WILD to life before the dramatic finding of the Yellow Moon Gold Mine and Buck finds his real destiny.
