Synopsis

It's never easy... Falling in Love Again
A nostalgic voyage to recapture the pleasures of the past leads to a new future...
Elliott Gould in a relaxed and polished performance plays Harry Lewis, a middle- aged dreamer who longs for the lost Shangri-la of his youth, spent in the unlikely dream-world of the Bronx. Helped in his quest to recreate those idyllic days long gone by his wife Sue, captivatingly portrayed by Susannah York (who also helped to write the screenplay), all does not go well for Harry and his family. The attractions of the past become an obsession for him and they highlight the failures of his present existence. Sue decides that she wants no part of the obsession. But the evolving circumstances of a night in New York bring the couple together again and Harry's dreams of the past begin to shape a new future for the pair. Falling In Love Again is a film for everyone featuring superb music and lyrics from the well-loved pens of Michael Legrand and Sammy Cahn - it is a joy to watch and listen to.
