Synopsis

For over 1000 years there have been stories of Cinderella, the young girl, pitilessly exploited by her wicked stepmother and two ugly sisters, rescued by a Fairy Godmother and magically transformed into a Princess invited to the Grand Ball. How she and the Prince fall in love, but are separated when she has to leave suddenly at midnight, they are eventually reunited and live happily ever after. "The Slipper and the Rose" tells this and much much more, with twelve song and dance numbers by the Sherman brothers, composers of the music of "Mary Poppins" and "Chitty chitty bang bang". Selected as the 1976 Royal Performance film and winner of many International Film Awards.
