A sensual love story, set on an exotic island, follows the awakening of a very beautiful young girl to the endless erotic delights of her body. Melody is instructed by her cousin Rachel whose husband is away on a diving expedition: she explains that she and Octavio have an open marriage in which each partner is free to have intimate friends to help overcome the long separations. Alain, a visiting lover, illustrates the point and makes play for Melody too. The young girl is swept along on a tide of sensuality before her natural reticence is overcome by increasing erotic intensity.
