Full disclosure;   I have been a fan of Alien Sex Fiend since the early days of their formation and this video of a live performance to promote their debut album : "Who's been sleeping in my brain?" presents a jittery performance by the band ,particuarly by lead vocalist Nik Fiend , understandable considering their youthfulness at the time. The band go through their tunes with occasional interruptions by a slightly bad tempered crowd member . Video direction and camera angles are basic but functional with wipes and fades between shots. Whether you warm to their music or not this represents live, cheap and cheerful early 80's post punk /goth in it's manic infancy. Plus if you sit through the end of the gig and the credits  you'll also get to see vocalist Nik Fiend running around with his old chap flopping about ,catnip to some ,catflap to others  i'd imagine.
