Synopsis

A TRUE STORY OF TRUE LOVE
In the true story of the "Famous People Players", Brooke Adams plays Diane Dupuy, a remarkable woman whose dream becomes a reality when she successfully combines her two interests, the mentally handicapped and puppetry. From initial total chaos and pandemonium, she patiently and lovingly blends the troupe into a coherent and multi-talented theatre company. Dressed all in black, using ultraviolet illuminaton, the group create some magical and uncanny resemblances of some very 'famous people', such as Liberace, Elvis Presley, Barbra Streisand, Frank Sinatra and Kenny Rogers. Sometimes sad, often amusing but always optimistic. this is a film that will help restore one's faith in humanity.
