Synopsis

"Life was perfect until some nice old subversives sold it out… taking a full-blown military coup as deposit."

In this wry look at the seething intrigue behind a fully armed coup, GOODBYE PARADISE cocks a single eyebrow shrewdly in the direction of inssurrection [sic} in Australia... popularly considered to be one of the most politically stable countries on the globe.
In this lush, tropical, millionaire’s playground on the shores of Australia’s South Pacific where reality blends disconcertingly with fantasy on a daily basis, Stacey is trying to write the ultimate exposure of corruption in high places.
And Stacey should know more about his subject than most. After all, he is the ex-Deputy Commissioner of Police.
At this point, the candidate running for election on a platform of delivering this paradise to the people as an independent state rather than just another highly taxed Australian city, loses his daughter Cathy.
He asks Stacey to find her. Quietly. Very quietly.
Stacey agrees... and almost immediately begins to notice that the most peculiar alliances have begun to develop all round him while his head has been engrossed in his book.
The answer to the resulting riddle falls into place with a resounding thump that rattles the very foundations of one of the world’s most politically stable nations.
