Synopsis

Heidi will make your soul sing, your feet dance, and your heart cry.
When orphan Heidi is dumped unceremoniously on her Grandfather in the mountain world of the Wunderhorn a cast of loveable and not so loveable characters parade across the screen. There's Gruffle, Grandpa's grumpy dog, Spritz the goat, Peter the goat-herd, Hooter the baby owl, the goats Edelweis, Greenfinch and Elsa, lead by the majestic Grand Turk. Then Heidi is sent to the city to become a companion to Clara, a sickly but rich girl. They become instant friends, but she misses her beloved Grandfather and her goats. At times it seems she will never see them again... This classic childrens tale, written by Johanna Spyri in 1880, has been embellished with musical and dream fantasy sequences and songs by Sammy Cahn and Burton Lane.
