A spooky chiller produced by Robert Aldrich. Mrs Marrable (Geraldine Page) has a habit of hiring housekeepers who keep disappearing. Mysteriously, a new tree appears in her Tuscon, Arizona home each time it happens. But when Mrs Dimmock (Ruth Gordon) takes the job, to find out what happened to her predecessor, Mrs Marrable's fiendish secret is about to be unearthed! A gruesome contemporary horror film with a bizarre and unexpected twist in the tale. Excellent after-midnight material.
