Synopsis

The Short-eared Owl is the only British owl to do most Of its hunting during the hours of daylight. Its breeding success is directly related to the population size of its main prey — the short-tailed vole — enormous numbers of which must be caught to ensure the survival of the young owlets. Foxes are the main enemy Of this ground-nesting bird. and the film follows the fortune of one pair of Short-eared owls as they try to raise their family of three on a bleak pine plantation.
