13th September 1980 - Central Park, New York. 400,000 people - the largest concert audience in the USA since Woodstock. Nine film cameras - one mounted on a giant crane, one in a helicopter. Sound recordists manning 24 track equipment. All wait for one man - - finally Elton John bursts onstage, clad in one of the outrageous costumes he is to sport during this epic concert. The audience goes wild - join them.
