Synopsis

This fast-paced drama of warring generations was produced by veteran filmmaker ROGER CORMAN, who has been consistently praised for his creativity and ingenuity, as evidenced by well over 50 films, including such popular classics as THE ST. VALENTINE'S DAY MASSACRE, BLOODY MAMA, and MACHINE GUN KELLY. SUBURBIA is a superlative example of his art - charged with emotion and action. They call them "punks," "new wavers," "degenerates," but actually they are "T.R." - the rejected. They are bound together by their weird clothes, and spikey hair and their love for the electric music of a new generation. Against a backdrop of these wild, metallic rhythms, played out in smoky clubs and bars, the young punks face up to the censure of irate local townspeople. It begins with threats leading to explosive violence as emotions take hold in SUBURBIA.
