Nor, if you: were stopped in the street and examined for dirt under your finger nails, had your hair cut by a singing barber, were confronted by a woman with a moustache; had your own shoes sold, whilst trying on a new pair; had been audience to an audition whilst only the doorman; had been ten-pin bowling with a bouncing ball; had been recipient of the spray of a sneeze over the telephone; had been performed a tap dance, when you wanted money; had been showered with water by a typewriter or had been asked to fill up a car with petrol, when it had no tank. Perhaps you would have had your doubts, if the poodle you were holding shrank from being a standard to a toy, in a matter of seconds; or had seen a policeman dancing to 'Let's Twist Again', whilst directing traffic. Or even if a mail-box, had not only walked, but talked.. But this is Candid Camera. There are also some outstanding performances by children, proving that they can handle the situation better than adults; and a scene that shows that even Candid Camera can be caught by Candid Camera.
