Synopsis

LET'S PLAY HIDE AND GO KILL...!
"The Child", a thrilling chiller with a foreboding setting. The setting is an isolated old farmhouse in the middle of some dark woods, with a cemetery nearby. 'The Child' Rosalie is played by Rosalie Cole, who is most capable of portraying with depth the strange little girl with uncanny mental abilities. She lives in the house with her eccentric father and her older brother. Frank Janson plays the old man Norden, and Richard Hanner is brother Len, seemingly the only one who is not a little weird. Into this bizarre setting comes a lovely young girl who has been hired as housekeeper and governess for Rosalie. Laurel Barnett gives an impressive performance as Alicianne. Len and Alicianne form a friendship, but Alicianne is disturbed by Norden's eccentricities and Rosalie's nocturnal prowlings. Rosalie pays nightly visits to her mother's grave where she communicates with ghoul-like creatures that haunt the woods. What follows after Alicianne arrives is a barrage of terror that builds up to a chilling climax in which Len and Alicianne face the ghouls in a thrilling confrontation. Rov Wallace does an excellent job with a musical score that is suspenseful and definitive. Ruth Baleer puts in a fine performance as the old neighbour lady, and Slosson Bing Jong is the gardener who meets a horrible fate.
