Synopsis

A panoramic ride on the roller coaster of life that makes you scream but hang on, is one way of describing producer-director Godfrey Reggio's almost futuristic film Koyaanisqatsi. This unpronouncable [sic] title starring 'Mother Nature' is actually a beautifully dramatized masterpiece about moving pictures containing breathtaking shots choreographed to music by Philip Glass. The changing tempos and constantly shifting scenes never allow you to divert your eyes from the screen, thanks to Ron Fricke's superb cinematography. Awarded the "Francis Ford Coppola Presents" endorsement at the 1982 New York Film Festival, Koyaanisqatsi is a look at modern life like you've never seen it before.
