Synopsis

A delightful story for the whole family. A foal, born lame to a thoroughbred, is saved by a little Mexican boy (Panchito Gomez) whose owners, wish to have the animal put down. His stepfather (Stuart Whitman) helps him, and the little boy works hard to earn money for an operation to heal the horses' injury. The operation succeeds, and together they train the horse. Success follows success, and the horse is entered for one of the most famous horse races in the world, the KENTUCKY DERBY. Run For The Roses has tension, sadness, happiness - and surprise.
