Synopsis

In 15th-century England, the War of the Roses rages between the houses of York and Lancaster. Sir Daniel Brackley (Oliver Reed), hosting a celebration following a York victory, is angered to find that he has been robbed by the notorious outlaw Black Arrow. Brackley, wealthy and corrupt, wants revenge. To retaliate he sends his nephew Richard Shelton (Benedict Taylor) on a dangerous mission, mindful that if the young Shelton is captured and killed by the dreaded Black Arrow, he, Brackley, will become one of the largest landowners in the country. Shelton's mission ends in a dramatic confrontation with the feared outlaw, and a strange partnership is formed... one that will attempt to bring an end to Brackley's evil reign.
