Synopsis

THE ACE MERCENARY FACES HIS BIGGEST CHALLENGE
Veteran mercenary Jamie Shannon returns to his New york [sic] apartment having survived yet another overseas mission. He is visited by the unscrupulous Endean representing an international corporation seeking to overthrow the regime of Zangaro, a small impoverished African state. They plan to install a puppet ruler, and exploit on their own terms a rich vein of platinum disclosed in a mining survey. Reluctantly Shannon agrees to carry out a reconnaissance, arriving in trouble-torn Zangaro posing as a photographer. His assigned guide is Gabrielle, part-time mistress to President Kimba, Zangaro's ruthless dictator. Suspicions are soon aroused. Shannon is interrogated and deported. Motivated now by a moral desire to free the country from tyranny, he accepts Endean's offer and begins preparations for the formidable task ahead....
