Synopsis

If it can't scare you to death, it will find another way.
Somewhere in Manhattan's fashionable Upper East Side there lurks a dangerous and terrifying intruder Of Unknown Origin. Based upon the terrifying novel 'The Visitor' by Chauncey G. Parker III, Of Unknown Origin is a suspense filled chiller which not only shocks - but questions if man is truly Master of his own destiny. Peter Weller (Shoot the Moon) stars as Bart Hughes, an ambitious young executive who suddenly finds himself plunged into a nightmarish fight for survival against an unidentifiable and vastly cunning adversary. The horror begins when Burt's beautiful wife, played by ex-playboy centrefold Shannon Tweed, takes their young son on a two week holiday. Left alone and under extreme pressure at work, Bart feels a growing sense of uneasiness as a strange transformation begins to take place inside his home. More frightening and infinitely more plausible than most contemporary horror films, Of Unknown Origin questions the survival instincts of modern man when faced with an inexplicable and unspeakable opponent.
