Synopsis
Based on Herman Melville’s novel, this colourful romantic adventure is set in the South Pacific in the 1840s. The crew of an American whaling ship meet a tribe of cannibals, and a native girl provides love and happiness for one of the sailors until he rebels against the tribe's savage way of life.
