Maggie, a pretty blonde teenager, learns that she is pregnant. Her boy friend refuses to marry her or assume any responsibility for the baby. Unable to communicate with her parents, the distraught Maggie runs away from home. She thumbs a ride, and at a desolate crossroads meets another girl hitchhiker, Diane (Linda Avery). Diane sells the hungry Maggie a cookie for a dollar, then steals her money before grabbing the next ride. Maggie is finally picked up by a truck driver (Denny Nichols) who buys her dinner and propositions her, Maggie refuses, then agrees, then tries to run away. The driver catches her and brutally rapes her, leaving her at a truck stop.
