Synopsis

Outlaws Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid earn themselves a reputation in the turn-of-the-century West for the audacity of their bank robberies. But when they attempt a double hold-up of the Union Pacific railroad they find themselves relentlessly pursued by a well-trained posse and eventually forced to head for South America where they find new adventures in Bolivia. One of the most popular and enjoyable westerns of all time, this film won four Academy Awards including best song 'Oscar' for Burt Bacharach's 'Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head'. Paul Newman is Butch, Robert Redford Sundance and Katharine Ross the schoolteacher who accompanies them on their escapades.
