Synopsis

NEW YORK TO PARIS IN 1908 - A BREATHLESS MADCAP, CRAZY WORLD
Never has there been a villain so dastardly as Professor Fate nor a hero so pure as The Great Leslie, arch rivals in death-defying adventures, When in 1908, a car manufacturer stages a great race from New York to Paris they both enter determined to win. Fate, aided by his mischievous side kick, uses every kind of inspired skullduggery to eliminate his opponents, while Leslie is hampered by a militant suffragette reporter who hitches a ride with him. The stopovers provide comic extravaganza including the wildest ever saloon bar punch-up, polar bear antics off the Bering Straits and a magnificent pie-throwing sequence in the palace of the Kingdom of Carpania. The race continues despite these hold-ups leading to a hilarious and nail biting finish.
