In the Alaskan wilderness, a grizzly bear goes on a terrifying rampage after it is wounded by hunters. When his son is the victim of a brutal attack, Jason Monroe makes it his mission to track down and kill the beast, known in Indian legend as "Kush-Ta-Ka", across the wild, uninhibited plains. Together with State Gaming Commissioner Ben Jones and Henry Chico, their soft-hearted but superstitious Indian friend, Monroe leads the trackdown into a duel with the grizzly, as the hunters become the hunted in their attempt to expose and destroy a legendary myth.
