A bizarre and ? is starting to emerge from various ? prisoners who escaped from the maximum security prison eight days ago. The four, Mario Cortesi, Bruno Espossido, Edro Caperalli and Nani Vitali reportedly kidnapped a former police informer and his girlfriend the day after their escape. The informer was beaten and murdered by having lime poured over him as he lay, still alive, in a pit. The girlfriend was raped by the gang leader Vitali. Following this ordeal, the girl named last night as Juliana Carroli, was kept prisoner by Vitali and repeatedly raped. She was later forced to help to gang rob a powder factory where her father is a security guard. Few details have been released concerning the gangs' activities during the past three days. However, a reliable source states that three of the convicts have been shot dead by police and the fourth, Vitali, has been captured by police after a violent fight inspector leading the hunt.
