Life with the Merioneth and Llantisilly Rail Traction Company Limited is never quite ordinary.
Ivor is a very ordinary engine of course ... ordinary for Wales that is; he sings in the choir ... but what is he to do when there is an elephant on the line ?... an elephant with a bad foot to boot !... and where do you find an elephant's boot in Wales?
The elephant wins the sheep-dog trials, the donkey has a private carriage, the pigeons escape and the juggernaut jumps off the cliff but these are all part of the day's work for Ivor as he puffs quietly along this ordinarily extraordinary railway in the top left-hand corner of Wales.
