The third in the famous Planet Of The Apes series Ape scientists Cornelius and Zira, and also Milo, escape from their planet just before the Doomsday Weapon explodes They travel back a thousand years in time to the Earth when it is run by humans But they receive no understanding and all are eventually murdered by a society that sees apes as a potential threat to human domination. Only the son, born to Zira, survives... Roddy McDowall and Kim Hunter appear once more as Cornelius and Zira; Sal Mineo features as Milu.
