Synopsis

A fortune in jewellery sewn into one of a set of twelve dining chairs. The Russian revolution. And the chairs are dispersed. So follows a manic chase to discover the chair containing the goodies, from a home for the aged to the wilds of Siberia. From a museum for historical furniture to a repertory company performing aboard ship. Fast and furious and with a gem of an ending, "The Twelve Chairs" is a complete joy! A comedy to warm the heart and leave the ribs aching.
