Synopsis

The Brutal Clash between Man and Nature.

Out of work logger, Dan Mitchell, and his two friends, the Sullivan brothers, turn to breaking in wild horses in New Zealand's Tangario National Park as a source of income.

With the help of an experienced horse catching team, Sam and Sara, the rough ex-loggers learn to respect the delicate balance between the wild horses and their catchers.

But the harmony of their lives is shattered.

The wild horses make it increasingly difficult for the deerhunters in the park to operate, thus threatening their booming venison export business.

The park ranger and the deerhunters join forces to bring about a simple-and final-solution to the wild horses problem. They hire a professional exterminator.

Events move quickly into violent confrontation. In an atmosphere charged with deception and double-dealing, the tension builds up to poignant climax.
