Professor Julius F. Kelp (JERRY LEWIS), a chemistry teacher in a co-ed university, is an ivy league Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. He has discovered a chemical formula that changes him from the shy weakling that he is - to a charming, dynamic individual who he calls Buddy Love. Every day in his classroom he is - Julius Kelp, the meek, eccentric Chemistry Professor. But at night, after drinking the formula, he becomes Buddy Love - and tries to make love to the gorgeous student, Stella Purdy (STELLA STEVENS). Often the potion wears off at embarrassing moments with predictably hilarious results.
