The police are confronted with a series of savage and apparently motiveless murders. The only facts linking the victims, they are all young, beautiful women; they are all having affairs; they all die through having their throats cut by the assassin who then assaults them. The competent Police Commissioner has his suspects, but is at a loss to understand the strange characteristics presented by the assassin. Until an astonishing revelation produces a cruel and violent effect on one of the key characters in this unusual thriller.
