Synopsis

A STORY OF MAN'S INHUMANITY TO MAN
"For accumulated power and epic tragedy, the show can't be touched." HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. NOMINATED FOR 16 EMMY AWARDS HOLOCAUST was the most extraordinary television event of the 70's. In the decade between 1935 and 1945 the world witnessed the most monstrous crime in history- the murder of six million Jews by the Nazis. This numbing, appalling atrocity is documented in the story of the Weiss family - polish-born Dr Josef Weiss, his wife and three children - all of them doomed, simply because they are Jewish. In direct contrast is the story of Erik Dorf - poor but ambitious, he rises through the ranks of the SS to become an aide to the official murderers of the Third Reich - Himmler, Eichman [sic] and the other engineers of the HOLOCAUST
