Hunter... or hunted? Harry Walker (David Janssen), ex Burma campaign pilot, flies a chopper for the Salt Lake City Radio Station. On a normal traffic talk-in he has a bird's eye view of a bank robbery involving a killing and the taking of a hostage - attractive T.J. (Elayne Heilveil). He radios Police Captain McAndrews (Ralph Meeker) and in spite of a warning to stay clear he joins a chase swooping past dangerous obstructions to the blare of music from his radio. The bank robbers switch from car to helicopter and the chase becomes a battle between youth and the experience of war veteran Walker. The hunter is hunted as roles change and Walker is on his own in the spectacular Utah Wilderness.
