David Hemmings directs the East End orphans in their fight for survival under their older brother - torn between his promise to a dying mother and his own inability to provide hope. This is a Dickensian story brought bang up to date under DAVID HEMMINGS' brilliant direction and with JACK WILD in the lead as the eldest brother of THE WILD LITTLE BUNCH The mother JUNE BROWN dies leaving a family of thirteen sons and one daughter. They first give hell to the housekeeper sent by the local council and then much against their wishes they are placed in care. As Christmas approaches there are shades of JACK WILD in his childhood role as The Artful Dodger as he re-assembles the boys and with true team spirit they 'acquire' the necessary trimmings for a traditional Christmas Dinner and a very special family reunion. A specially fine performance from JACK WILD.
