Guido, a gynaecologist, has arrived at the top of the medical profession because of his knack with beautiful women. But Guido is up to his eyes in debt for his luxury nursing home. After passing some dud cheques to Colonel Arlotti, his greatest creditor, Guido decides to disappear temporarily to a remote Caribbean island. Before leaving, Guido appoints the unambitious Franco to take over his consulting-room. Guido's nurse, Pamela, soon decides to test Franco as doctor and as a man. Before long, Franco is more successful with his patients than Guido. He befriends Colonel Arlotti and his wife, Tina. Franco becomes Tina’s lover and helps her have the child she longed for. In return, the unsuspecting Colonel makes Franco a partner to replace Guido in his luxury nursing home. Franco, going from woman to woman, turns his clinic into a gold-mine. Meanwhile, in the distant Caribbean, Guido makes ends meet by examining fat native matrons…
