Synopsis
She Was A Woman First...
When the once magnificent country estate of the late Count Origoni comes up for sale, the new owner seems to get a very good bargain indeed. For still inhabiting the decaying mansion is a group of beautiful women: Angela, the Count's lovely widow; their daughters Lina and Olga and Sultana, the maidservant. An aristocratic group which contrasts sharply with the purchaser, a fat and vulgar industrialist named Cardoni whose business career is far from stainless. Moving in with his agreeable son Daniel, Cardoni is far more interested in the Origoni women than in his new property, and in turn they are all subjected to his crude approaches. He modernises the mansion and throws lavish parties for his boorish friends. He takes Angela on a business trip and to everyone's astonishment, they return married... Daniel, by contrast, is liked by all the women and when his debauched father dies, appropriately, in bed with Lina, they welcome him as the new owner, perfectly capable of rising to his inherited responsibilities.
