George Dumurrier, a young American doctor, is the owner of a modern clinic with his brother, Henry. On the death of his wife, Susan, he receives a large amount of insurance. At a night-club, George meets a strip-tease girl who closely resembles Susan. He is later arrested when traces of poison are found in his wife's body. Sentenced to death for Susan's murder, his friends Jane and Larry begin an investigation to prove George's innocence. The stripper becomes Susan once more, and she leaves for France unaware that she is being followed by her abandoned lover, Benjamin. In San Quentin, George learns from Henry that he had thought up the scheme to get rid of his brother, claim the insurance money and have Susan, But, in Paris, Benjamin takes his revenge... and saves an innocent man.
