Great fun with three of the whackiest, craziest Musketeers ever!
Dart is the son of an illustrious citizen who covered himself (they say) with glory as a Texas Ranger. Dart decides to follow in his father's footsteps He has a letter to three old Ranger friends of his father's: Mac Athos, Aramirez and Portland. So he mounts his tired, creaking donkey and starts off. He finally gets to posada in the desert, where he accidently meets Le Duc, a crooked New Orleans banker. Le Duc is using the posada as a secret meeting place to confer with the head of the revolutionaries, Cabezon. Le Duc has promised Cabezon gold if he is given the rights to the mining wealth of the Country after the revolution. Dart hears the conversation between Le Duc and Cabezon, but doesn't know how the load of gold is going to cross the border. He travels to the town where his father's friends are, when a sort of stagecoach fashioned into an ambulance arrives at about the same time as he does. A woman named Alice is on the ambulance-wagon, escorted by five characters. Dart realises that the strange ambulance is the vehicle to be used by Le Duc to transport the gold. Aramirez is trying to make out with a fat dame. Portland is eating on the cuff and Mac Athos is playing cards with the five men who are escorting the wagon. Dart manages to provoke them and they all end in a beautiful brawl. Dart then offers his services as an escort to Alice. Their adventures are many. First they outwit a blockade, then they are assaulted by a gang of hippies who steal the wagon. The three Rangers, after deciding that things aren't what they seem, take off in pursuit, hoping to get their hands on the wagon, which in the meantime was sold to Cin-Ciao, a Chinese dealer. After a furious but entertaining fight between the Rangers and Cin-Ciao and his men, all Kung-fu fighters, the Rangers manage to steal back the wagon. However, they get the wrong wagon and thats when the mayhem really starts.
