Synopsis

SHOCKING DARING & FRANK
"All sexual taboos on the screen were broken and people think what can be the next step - and obviously the next step is to kill someone for real. They even have a name for it: the SNUFF film, in which actual murder is committed." With this statement, famous director ROMAN POLANSKI introduces the film to the audience. Directed by his pupil, Andrzej Kostenko, the movie is a visual documentation of the evolution of sex/porno and so-called Snuff films. It portrays the fate of Claudia Fielers, a beautiful young medical student and well-known German sex star. She suffered so much anguish and despair during making of the film that she committed suicide. After talking to the camera, minutes later she is dead. And, for the first time ever, an unidentified masked man offers his excuses for participating in the film - excuses for murder! The background of this shocking movie is provided by Carl Amery, one of Germany's leading philosophers and authors, commenting on a script that was written more by reality than invention.
