Synopsis

An outstanding film that shows the stars of international golf playing the holes television could not cover, and stands as the official record of Turnberry's first Open. It is a championship that produces a climax without precedent. The phenomenal Jack Nicklaus takes on Masters Champion Tom Watson as the two greatest players of the year battle it out in a head-to-head virtual match-play situation. This was a remarkable championship producing high scores and low scores, storm and sunshine - and a birdie on the 72nd hole to win. Trevino, Green, Crenshaw, Horton, all these and other top flight golfers have their share of the action in a spectacular film produced by Trans World International, a company renowned for its superb coverage of all the major international championship events.
