Synopsis

A recent article in a New York newspaper reported that there were large colonies of people living under the city... The paper was incorrect. What is living under the city is NOT human. C.H.U.D. is under the city. They're not staying down there anymore!
What's really down there in the dark recesses of the subways, in the maze of tunnels beneath New York's sidewalks, in abandoned underground train stations? - C.H.U.D. has a couple of pretty entertaining answers within its title. Contamination Hazard Urban Disposal is part of the answer - some very hot radioactive waste has been deposited under the city by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission who are trying to conceal the danger. The after effects of all this radiation provide the other part of the answer: Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers. C.H.U.D.'s special effects are the real stars and true horror fans will be delighted to see some real monsters on the rampage. C.H.U.D. is a gruesome evenings [sic] entertainment.
